Podcast: The Rant Sept. 17, 2008
Thanks go out to our guests this week — The Herald’s Sports Editor Alex Podlogar and Sports Writer Ryan Sarda were on hand to talk Brick City Bowl … even if Jon didn’t want Ryan there.
Other things we talked about:
• Fall weather and the wonderful feeling of cool we’re experiencing
• The Herald’s new Web site
• Animal Control and why people don’t take care of their animals
• Intelligent conversation (believe it or not) on the troubles at Wall Street
• High school football, Major League Baseball and somesuch.
Other things I noticed: I say “before we get started” a lot … Jon is tired … Gordon’s mean.

Lee County by three touchdowns? I didn’t catch who that voice belonged to but man, I hope you don’t bet on football.
I can understand since Southern hadn’t scored an offensive touchdown before this game and Lee County having had a little success in getting in the endzone, the concensus being that Lee County would be favored. But, as Alex mentioned early on, Southern’s defense has been playing well and continued to do so this past Friday night.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that every single one of you were wrong on the predictions. I think this is the spark that our also young and inexperienced team, needed to propel them into conference play this week.
One more thing. To the Lee County fans still wearing those “56-33″ T-shirts. Get over it. Rayshon is playing elsewhere and Southern has now won two in a row. It’s time to file that shirt away under “I remember when..”
