This week’s Rant

Posted in Show Podcast with tags , , on September 25, 2008 by billyliggett

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road. Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go ….

We’re going to miss Chelsea Kellner here at The Herald (Chelsea’s moving on to Wilmington to work at the News Star), and we were glad to have her on this week’s episode of The Rant. Hear Chelsea talk about her first year as a Yankee in the south and why she’s not thrilled her house will suddenly become our beach house during the summer.

Also, we discussed …
• Doing fall right
• At what age should a man stop wearing cologne?
• Restaurant closings in Sanford
• Local politics
• and much, much (well, not that much) more

Thanks go out to our guests this week — The Herald’s Sports Editor Alex Podlogar and Sports Writer Ryan Sarda were on hand to talk Brick City Bowl … even if Jon didn’t want Ryan there.

Other things we talked about:
• Fall weather and the wonderful feeling of cool we’re experiencing
• The Herald’s new Web site
• Animal Control and why people don’t take care of their animals
• Intelligent conversation (believe it or not) on the troubles at Wall Street
• High school football, Major League Baseball and somesuch.

Other things I noticed: I say “before we get started” a lot … Jon is tired … Gordon’s mean.
