Podcast: August 6

Sorry for the lateness with the podcast, but here is Week 8 … The Rant’s first-ever guest-less show and, you know what, possibly our strongest show to date (note to guests … start carrying your weight).

We DID have few problems … both of them had to do with recording.
FIRST — the first 8 minutes of The Rant did not get recorded on the Podcast because of one of those crazy computer issues. To make up for it, we added 5 minutes to the end of the show … so you got your full hour, podcast listeners.
SECOND — Twice we play music on the show today, and while it appeared on the air, it doesn’t show up on the podcast. Sorry. It doesn’t take away too much, but it’s a small mistake, nonetheless.
We’ll get it fixed … and next week, we start taking phone calls (hopefully).

Oh, and by popular demand:
The Missouri Compromise was an agreement passed in 1820 between the pro-slavery and anti-slavery factions in the United States Congress, involving primarily the regulation of slavery in the western territories. It prohibited slavery in the former Louisiana Territory north of the parallel 36°30′ north except within the boundaries of the proposed state of Missouri. Prior to the agreement, the House of Representatives had refused to accept this compromise and a conference committee was appointed. The United States Senate refused to concur in the amendment, and the whole measure was lost.
